Shifting of teachers spark protest in Mendhar village | KNO

Poonch, April 23 (KNO) : Civil society members, parents of students enrolled in Government Middle School Phamra Nar in Mendhar staged a protest demonstration against government authorities over shifting of school teachers. According to KNO correspondent, protesters blocked road for hours and raised slogans against government authorities. They alleged that a physical education teacher of the school is working somewhere else since long and now another teacher has been shifted out of school and such steps will adversely affect the functioning of the school. Protesters alleged that future of their children is on stake due to shifting of teachers and demanded immediate re-posting of teachers in the school. The protest by pacified by the police team and other government officials who reached the spot and assured the people that their demand has been taken up with higher officers who are looking into the matter.(KNO)
